Iain was born near Manchester in the UK.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Philosophy from Bedford College, University of London and obtained a post-graduate Diploma in Law from City University, London before he was admitted as a member of the Inner Temple and called to the English Bar. In 1986 he came to Malaysia, where he has settled permanently, and was admitted and enrolled as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1988. From 1988 he practised as a legal assistant with Skrine & Co, before leaving to join Lee Hishammuddin as a partner in 1993. He departed from Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill in 2010 to establish Sedgley & Co. 

Throughout his career, Iain has practised as a solicitor and has acted for a wide range of prominent Malaysian and international corporate and individual clients and government agencies. He was the head of Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill’s corporate department until his departure. His main areas of practice are mergers & acquisitions, large-scale infrastructure and property projects and general corporate and commercial contracts. The Legal 500, Chambers Asia and other rankers have recognized him as a leading individual in his areas of practice in Malaysia.

Leow Kon Nee graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the University of Leeds. She was admitted and enrolled as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in December 2005. She practiced as a legal assistant and senior legal assistant with Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill from 2005 until 2010. In 2011, she joined Sedgley & Co as a partner. Kon Nee’s main areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, property projects and general corporate and commercial advisory.

Mah Siew Yan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University, and was admitted and enrolled as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1994.  After 3 years of practice with Lee Hishammuddin, she left to work in-house in a variety of industries, including banking, education, sports management and telecommunications; and obtained a Masters in Business Administration from the University of South Australia along the way. Siew Yan joined Sedgley & Co in July 2012.
